The Feature Gardens are created by t​hree local  landscaping companies and showcasing the newest gardening techniques and designs.

We’re getting our hands dirty this spring! Trends will be sprouting up all over in the feature gardens, showcasing lavish landscapes from a variety of local designers. This isn’t your mother’s flowerbed – stroll through the feature gardens of contemporary accessories, the latest in high-tech water features, and scads of gorgeous flora. The weary weather will be nothing but a distant memory – at least until you leave the show.

Fresh Ideas Home STAGE

Four days of lively presentations by local and national home and garden experts. The topics will relate to remodeling, home improvement, gardening, landscaping, DIY, home décor and homeowner challenges and solutions.  

Speakers will include Matt Muenster of HGTV's Bath Crashers, Lucy Farmer of HGTV's Beach House Flip and Leanne Lee, Diva of DIY.

The Fresh Ideas Stage is located in the SOUTH HALL.

Discover how you can make a great first impression from three uniquely designed fabulous front porch displays and get inspiration on how you can recreate a welcoming entrance for your own home.  Don’t miss the front porch display ​in the SOUTH HALL, built by Over the Mountain Remodeling, and decorated by Southeastern Salvage.  Come check them out!

Have you ever thought of turning a door into a coffee table, or a headboard or even a message center? Lucy Farmer of HGTV's Beach Flip, will show case several different ways to restore/repurpose doors.  Booth # 2603, located in the SOUTH HALL.

From seeding to soil to shrubs, the Birmingham Home and Garden Show is where ideas bloom and inspiration is planted for aspiring green thumbs. With the Ask The Master Gardener feature show guests have access to solutions and tools from the area's leading experts in horticulture. Guests are encouraged to bring all those gardening and landscaping questions and challenges on topics ranging from container gardening, edible gardening, trees, flowers, shrubs and more. Better yet, snap and bring some pics to share with the experts to help them pinpoint issues and problem solve right on-site. Ask the Master Gardener is located in Booth # 2108 in the SOUTH HALL.


Everything deserves a second chance - that's what Joshua Mitchell of Upcycle Birmingham thinks. Joshua and his team make beautiful pieces from reclaimed wood. Joshua's mom and grandma are the ones turning ravaged tornado torn trees into tables and other pieces of furniture, Joshua provides the charm and the back story to the pieces.

Joshua will be showcasing some of his pieces in Booth # 2606 in the SOUTH HALL.  Stop by, say hi and you just might fall in love with a table, and give it a second chance in your home.


Medical professionals day

Free admission on Friday, February 19, 2016 is offered to Medical Professionals. This day is our way of saying thank you to the thousands of medical professionals who serve patients all over greater Birmingham. If you are a medical professional, please show your hospital or medical ID at the Box Office to receive a ticket, which you will then redeem at the entrance to the show.  The first 100 Medical Professionals that visit the WDJC Booth # 2209 will receive a free swag bag.
